After that beautiful shitty train ride to Mumbai (Indian Railway), where I almost got all my stuff stolen, almost no sleep because of the cold temperature and the smell, finally we arrive in our hostel and I can sleep a little. Afterwards we go out, walk around Colaba - the area in Mumbai where we are - to find food and see some of the city. Nice buildings and the obvious foot prints of the colonial masters. Considering that Mumbai is a big Indian city, it is actually pretty nice. Good atmosphere and nice view at the sea.
In the evening the boys want to see the Manchester United game - it's hard to find a good place, because all pubs just show cricket. Finally we find an Irish Pub - very nice and expensive. But in a metropole like Mumbai you find everything, you just need to have the money.
The next day we only walk around, are a little lazy and take the bus to Udaipur in the afternoon.
I actually wanted to see the Slums as well, but the guys didn't and I was too lazy to do my own thing that day. And I knew I might come back to Mumbai still on this trip...
Here are some pictures of Mumbai:
Sunday our journey to Udaipur went on in a bus. Sleeper bus. So comfortable and a bit warmer than the train, but still quite cold at night.
The bus had a big delay because something was broken on the way. After 19 hours the boys were quite annoyed. We came to a nice hostel and allowed us a hotel room for 400 each (~5,50€) with a beautiful view on Udaipur's lake:

The moment we got out our hostel to have a look at the city Nick and Nay were disappointed because they had expected more from India's north after 19 hours bus drive. I instead was actually so happy - I think Udaipur is beautiful!
All we did three days was basically just walking around, looking at things, eating, enjoying life and planning the upcoming journey. And after a while even Nick and Nay had to admit Udaipur is nice. But north India was in general still not really their thing. So they planned to go home a few days earlier than originally planned.
On the last evening in Udaipur I got to know Xynia, a German girl I got along with straight away very well. We said we meet in Jaisalmer to do a camel Safari together. She still stayed two days in Udaipur and I went first with Nay and Nick to Jaipur and then we would meet afterwards.
Arriving in Jaipur the 22nd it rained. Jaipur seemed to all three of us like an ugly, big city and no pink buildings at all, even though it was called the pink city and supposed to be pink everywhere. None of us liked Jaipur and this was the city we would say goodbye to each other. Nick and Nay went on to Delhi afterwards to take their flight to Bali for a few days and then to new home Sydney, Australia.
After two weeks travelling together I was actually really sad. But instead of showing it in a good way, I was in a horribly bad mood the last day. So stupid... but makes it easier.
